The Chestnut Room is a spacious, fully equipped dedicated baby room catering for children aged 3 months to 2 years.
We provide a safe and stimulating environment with qualified staff who understand the developmental needs of each individual child.
We provide activities that promote the prime and specific areas of development and an environment that supports the Characteristics of Effective Learning which are intrinsic to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Each child is supported by a key person who works closely with the parents in order to build the child’s independence and confidence during these early years.
We provide a daily report of the child’s activities through our Blossom App so that parents are able to view how their child’s day has been.
All children have their own individual sleeping sheets and blankets, which are stored in their individual bags to minimise cross-infection. All toys and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis too.
Our daily activities include singing, gross and fine motor skills (skills involving movement and coordination), exploring the environment such as treasure baskets, book corner and home corner.
